Valentines Day Presents
OK, Valentine’s is coming up and you have not made any plans yet. What should you do? Will there be enough time to get everything sorted so that it won’t appear that you just started making your arrangements yesterday?

- Make her breakfast in bed (something nice that you can get right).
- Take the kids to school and make arrangements for them to sleep over at Grandma’s or at a neighborhood friend’s house. No kids, then skip this step.
- Send her flowers to her job. (Overnight them to her so they will be fresh. Do all of these things online so you can surprise her.) This really makes a big difference. See examples below. She’ll love this.
- Put a nice note card that says you care and have a big surprise for her when she gets home.
- Order a romantic dinner for two. This does not include Chinese Take-Out or Pizza. We have great ideas for this, so keep reading.
- On that special day, leave work early so you will arrive home before she will.
- Stop off at your local florist and get some rose petals. If they don’t have these, then get a few red roses. Keep them in water until after you finish Step 9. Scatter the fresh rose petals on the bed (make the bed first, and use silk sheets if you have them).
- Make sure the kids are settled and OK (she will ask about them).
- Get the table set, have some mood music ready, shower and get changed.
- Warm up the romantic dinner according to the instructions. Make the table look spectacular. Take some photos with your digital camera. Time it so when she walks in, the aroma of a chef-prepared meal hits her in the face.
- Escort her to the table and let her jaw drop on the feast you have waiting.
- Enjoy a quiet evening with a mouth-watering meal.
- After dinner, run the tub and give her a spa-inspired bath.
- Help her to dry off. Apply her favorite moisturizer and body powder, etc. Take your time on this one.
